Privacy, in plain English.
What the website measures, what the tools send, and how payments work.
1. Website analytics
Our own server (not a third party) stores one line per event: the event (a page view, a button click, how far you scrolled, roughly how long you stayed), the page, your country as Cloudflare sees it, your device type, the website that linked here, and the campaign name in the link, if it has one.
Each visit gets a random number that lives in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. It's there so a visit counts as one visit. The number can't connect two visits.
When a link includes an ad or campaign source, we remember the first source and the date in your browser's local storage for 30 days. This is a campaign label, not personal information or an identifier. If you later open checkout from CCPrune in the same browser, we use that label to credit the original campaign and mark the purchase as coming through the app. It does not follow you to a different browser or device.
2. What analytics excludes
Your IP address, your browser's identity string, anything you type, your email, or the text of what you click. Buttons are counted by a fixed name, not by what they say.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded at all.
After a license is delivered, including a $0 license, Dodo confirms the purchase to our server. We store its payment reference, product, amount, currency and the visit or campaign that led to checkout, when available. This counts completed purchases once. It does not store your email or license key in our analytics.
3. CCPrune and Usage HUD
CCPrune and Usage HUD run on your computer and have no telemetry. CCPrune's optional AI pass goes through your own Claude Code login. Redeeming a CCPrune key sends the key to our server, which verifies the delivered entitlement and purchase with Dodo Payments and signs a lifetime license. Existing activations can send their old instance ID once to upgrade. Your chats are never sent for licensing. The redeemed lifetime license is verified locally without recurring online checks; restoring a saved backup also works offline. Older versions and activations that have not yet upgraded may still use Dodo's previous periodic validation.
4. Payments and license delivery
Free license orders and optional contributions are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Our form asks for your email and an optional amount, starting at $0. We derive the checkout name from the part before @. Cloudflare may supply your country and postal code for checkout; if unavailable, Dodo asks you to complete them. To limit abuse, Cloudflare counts up to five checkout attempts per minute using a server-keyed hash of your visitor IP. We do not store your IP or email in analytics or a new database. We receive your email and order, never your card. Your license key is emailed to you by Dodo. When checkout returns a key to the thanks page, it appears there with a Copy button. The page removes the key and email from the address bar before analytics runs. It does not save the key or lifetime license in browser storage. The lifetime backup is downloaded only when you choose to save it; keep it safe for independent recovery.
Starting checkout sets a secure cookie for up to 24 hours so the thanks page can retrieve your license key and a signed lifetime license backup after confirming your payment. The cookie identifies your checkout and contains no email or license key. It is used for purchase delivery, not advertising or analytics.
5. Ads
Some pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Ads never appear on the checkout, unlock, download or thanks pages. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ad Settings, and read how Google uses data from sites that show its ads. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first. Visitors in US states with privacy laws can opt out of the sale or sharing of their data through the privacy link Google shows on the page.
6. Private test access
The private test copy uses an access cookie for the owner. This cookie only unlocks that test site.
