under5dollars is a small collection of tools for coding, audio, video and messages. Every tool costs under $5. All of them are free.

The tools

CCPrune makes long Claude Code chats lighter. It is free. Get a free lifetime license key for unlimited pruning, or choose your own amount. Usage HUD shows usage and cost estimates above your prompt. It is free.

iLoveAudioVideo turns audio and video into text, makes subtitles, and compresses, converts or trims videos. Files are never uploaded. It is free. Buddy is a free AI assistant on WhatsApp or Telegram that runs on your Mac or Windows computer.

Who makes it

under5dollars is made by Jhilmil Labs, a small company that builds simple apps for everyday life. The tools are built by one developer.

How the tools are priced

All four tools are free, with no subscription. If you want to support CCPrune, its checkout lets you choose an amount; $0 is the default.

What you can expect

Each tool has one specific job. Estimates are labelled as estimates. Requirements and limitations are explained before you install.
